Web design is my favourite hobby. The websites I design are exclusively created with HTML. For this I use Notepad, a simple text editor. The JavaScripts and other codes on the websites are offered as ready made codes and just have to be copied into the website. Most of the graphics are not by me either. They are created by great artists who for this work very often do not ask for anything else than a link back to their website. Guestbooks, counters, sitetrackers, clocks and weather are also lovely additions to a website, which you get ready made. So I mainly *just* create the HTML code.
Of course I know that there are easier ways to create a website than using a text editor. Nevertheless I prefer to do it this way. You never forget what the single HTML tags are good for, you have got more possibilities to play around and try if something works, and the website is shown in a proper way by *almost* any system and browser - at least, if you obey certain rules.
